- Reduce use of fossil fuels → use renewable sources of energy → like solar energy and wind
- Reduce energy consumption. Save electricity → by using more efficient devices → e.g. use of LED bulbs
- Replace petrol powered vehicles → with hybrid / electric vehicles.
- Reduce daily consumption of electricity, water, paper and plastic.
Forest Management:
- Conservation of forest → disruption of natural cycles such a carbon cycle → can be prevented, and this helps to prevent global warming
- Indiscriminate felling of trees should be prevented
- Reforestation: new seedlings - can be planted → replace trees that have been removed or destroyed
- Control of forest fires: some forest fires are man made. People set fires - clear forests and provide land for agriculture. This must be prevented
- Education programs - conducted → make people aware of the important of forests to our lives + methods by which forests can be conserved.
