Nazis also prioritized making changes to education system to gain increasing influence over German Youths

Greater control over schools initially achieved through regulation of teachers:

  • every teacher had to join national socialist teachers league training courses stressing on Nazi ideology + physical education
  • Curriculum was changed to reflect greater emphasis on Nazi vales
  • Included infusing Nazi ideas into subjects like History and Biology as well as production of Nazi approved textbooks

great care was taken to ensure German youths were indoctrinated with Nazi ideology through new institutions Hitler youth

  • was a paramilitary organization of Nazi party aimed to groom German youths to be future leaders of Nazi organizations.
  • Only had 1000 members when first established but later on had 2.3 million members
  • Organized variety of activities sports, camps, physical training all backed up by indoctrination of anti Semitism and Nazi ideology.

Although membership was compulsory for Aryan German youths many many to avoid it esp. after they left school rival youth groups were set up which authorities failed to suppress.
