Korean Traditional Attire → Hanbok 1900s
- period of modernisation + influences from other countries changed its design
- ladies Hanbok was simplified and skirts made wider for ease of movement
- basic features remained same.
- wide skirts and trousers and use of upper garment shaped like blouse / jacket
- Koreans of higher status wore more colourful hanbok to signify social backward, rank, occupation.
- today diff. colours used for special occasions etc

- incorporation of new + western designs to improve practicality + convenience of wearing Hanbok.
