Ways to get citizenship:

  • by birth (small number of countries grant citizenship to those who are born in that country)
    • but at least one parent must be singaporean
  • By descent (Many countries grant citizenship if he/she has at least one parent who is a citizen of that country)
  • By marriage (Citizenship can be obtained by marrying a citizen of that country)
    • spouse of a citizen, who has been PR for minimum 2 years, and married for at least 2 years
  • Naturalization (Countries grant citizenship to those who have moved to that country + resided there for a given number of years and applied to become citizens. some countries require aspiring citizens to pass a test and/ or give up their existing citizenship)
    • Minimum 2 years PR in Singapore

Ways to Get Singapore PR

  • Working here on a valid employment pass (EP), S pass or personalized employment pass (PEP). 
  • Spouse of Singapore citizen or Singapore PR
  • Below 21 years old and unmarried child of SG citizen or PR
  • Your the aged parent (60 and above) of Singapore citizen
  • Studying here on a student pass + have completed natinal examinations (PSLE, GCE ‘N’/’O’/’A’ levels or the Integrated programme (IP)
  • Foreign investor, entrepreneur, or family office principal in Singapore with 10 mil to invest locally.
